I will go b a ck to see if my impressions are consistent . I once owned the OHM's F and Cosmostatic's(Hybrid omnidirectional electrostatic.) and the set up I heard gave a sense of freedom that I had with the omni-directional speakers. I do not know why. But I did get the impression that sound was being 'shaped' by some sort of processor. Sorry that I have not been very helpful. An interesting note STEREO EXCHANGE a much larger store on Broadway, directly down the block has also picked the De Vore recently, but they are placed in a smaller listening room.
