is the power source. To that end, I use dedicated 20A circuits for the main system. In my house with all manner of digital devices that happily spew RFI into the AC (including the digital sources), I focus on power conditioning, aftermarket AC cords and minimizing the use of switching power supplies.
I find that all manner of untrapped RFI serves to brighten the sound, bury detail and render an overall harshness to the sound. Replacing the wall wart power supply to my Touch players with a linear had those very effects on their sound quality
