I finally moved my old three series upstairs (no more stacked Maggie's for me), and am absolutely amazed at how different they sound in that room than the basement. Sounds like a completely different speaker.

I agree completely with you that placement is the most important thing, and that no two rooms or two placements within a room sound the same. Some are dull. Some shrill or harsh. Some have no bass and others have a choked up double-bass sound. Some are simply glorious.
