We know that the EM-ESL's predecessor, the Aerius, needed lots of workout, in order for it to break-in/gel.
Since your EM-ESL was essentially new, let us know what its burn-in pattern is.
Even though the Totem Element Fire was used when I received it, the previous users obviously did not subject it to popular music. Thus, out of the box, it sounded bland, ho-hum, so-so. 8 hours of Sepultura's killer Chaos A.D. go the Fire to open up, become more resolving, precise, focused, see-through, and dexterous. We followed that up with a healthy diet of Anthrax, Dokken, Dream Theater, Janet Jackson, Robert Miles, The Police, and Whodini.
