RE: ET VIII mounted off the floor

You will likely need to adjust the listening seat height along with the speaker raising, and you will lose some deep bass due to lost floor reinforcement so would likely need a subwoofer where you might not have needed one before.

Use concrete blocks for the base so that the dogs can't knock the speakers down. Tie the speakers to the concrete blocks with flat fabric cord or flat bungee cord. I Blue tacked my Vandy's to concrete blocks and the cat couldn't make them wobble no matter where he jumped from to get to his "hammock".
