RE: Squealing Quad

Unfortunately, the diaphragm material might have delaminated from the framework of one of the electrostatic elements.

Only one element can be repaired or replaced but it involves "de-socking" the speaker removing the dust covers ,determining the specific panel and then de soldering many small wire from the high voltage stators ....repair the panel (definitely not DIY if you've never done it before) or purchase a replacement or send the existing panel away for repair (probably around $300 for a single panel repair).

Then....put all back together! The bad news is that if one panel goes often others follow.
