At least half the reason, if not more that I find a favorite vocal artist to listen to over my Maggies, is the recording/engineering teams which make their recordings.
In pre-historic times and before he changed his name a 'phile friend introduced me to one 'Cat Stevens'. I still enjoy his work on my Maggies, and it was even reported that he himself 'mastered' some of his works using Maggies.
I also enjoy listening to both Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Peter Pears on my Maggies. (I felt compelled to add some classical artists to this list, and Pavarotti isn't exactly chopped liver.)
