Look up the "Limage" setup popular in HK planar audio circles. If your room is not too square it provides very good bass loading and amazing imaging.

The equilateral triangle in the Limage setup is with your head near the back wall and the speakers just off the sidewalls facing forward at just 1' short of the middle of the room. Try this setup and fine tune the positions.
