I don't think you want to hear about my room setup...I won't have any dedicated area, and the Magnepans (if I get them) will have to "blend" into my living room. Hardwood floors, furniture...worst case scenario.

I will keep looking into amp/HT options. I suspect that using more moderately powered receiver with my 130W Rotel amp to drive the fronts, I could get some good sound out the Maggie's, and maybe power the ML scenarios as rear speakers.

I have always been a stereo nerd, but don't really understand a lot of the finer points, so it's fun learning.

Anyways, thanks again. I'll check back when I get something set up.
