RE: PLLXO biamp + passive pre-amp on MMGs: a nice little surprise

You're simply equalizing the speakers in a different (and variable) way than you were before. It's simply not possible to increase bass depth just by using a passive-preamp/PLL combination. Bass "depth" (I assume you're talking subjectively here) might be altered, but the mechanism is not as you conclude.

Sorry to burst your bubble. These kind of experiments can easily lead folks off on a tangent and yield wrong conclusions.
