The eggcrate in the former link was a ML user who adopted my Eggcrate tweak which isn't ugly nor on the backwall.However, what I did recommend to be placed on the backwall on MLs was twin corner bass traps to deflect the backwave because ML curved ESLs focus the beamed backwave which makes reflections more annoying IMHO.
