I suggest you download REW5 from Home Theater Shack (free) and buy a UMM-6 microphone (about $50) that plugs into your USB port from Parts Express. Each microphone comes calibrated. You will be able to make multiple reproducible measurements within seconds of not only spl v frequency, but impulse measurements, waterfall plots, etc that should divert you from listening to music for hours on end :). I use the RS meter strictly to calibrate the spl reading on the computer. There are also some neat apps that you can get for an Android or iPhone.
