RE: 3.5R Drop Out Update

The plug / socket would be the LAST thing in the chain to give up. The locking mechanism provides pretty good leverage and is way solid.

I do an annual PM where I remove and DeOxit all speaker leads on both ends as well as my hand-whittled #6 copper jumpers.
And no periodic springing out necessary as for the other style or using chrome plated spring steel of so-so electrical characteristics.
If I ever rebuilt the connection panel on my speakers, I'd go for some kind of regulation binding post.
