Krell amp replaced with a pair of Emotiva XPA-1s mono blocks; 80lb, 1000 watt/4Ω high current behemoths- highly recommended btw. Caught em' on sale for $899 each (they've since returned to their normal price of $999); I can't be happier with the sound and quality of bass coming from the bottom panels of the MG20s. Again- HIGHLY recommended; and yes, they *rock*
The tweeter/midrange are being driven by Bel Canto 300 mono blocks hidden behind the amps (RCAs not long enough).
Only complaint is a distant hum noted. I attribute this to cheap interconnects that will be replaced soon. Otherwise pure bliss ladies and germs. Now I can relax a bit and work on the room.
I havent measured yet but the panels sit about 5' from the front wall, about 6 1/2' apart, about 5' from the left wall, 3' from the right wall. Tweeters are out, but I will most likely try with tweets in as Mart suggested in the near future.
Absolutely no buzzing, rattling whatsoever (and I cranked em' pretty high for a breif period).
Noah Jones and Esperanza Spauding sound Heavenly, Spauding an electric and upright bass phenom is on all points...
