If you are going active then you can simulate the original crossover with a 1st order HP at ~1470 Hz and a 2nd order LP at ~530. This spreadsheet will give you the component values, schematic and bode diagram. I don't own 1.6's but IMO the active crossover for any speaker should try to match the original (HP 1st order at ~525 Hz, LP 2nd order at 1475 Hz).
If you go with a PXLLO, then I would recommend changing the LP filter to a 1st order at 600 Hz. Just last week I tried designing a PXLLO for the 1.6 (on paper only) and IMO there are just too many problems to justify a 2nd order filter.
