RE: Razor your mags

Good for you. While not hard, cutting the thin strips is pretty tedious and best done when one is tipsy :) well worth the effort though.

I wish I could have redone this whole thing. See, I did the easy thing first which is the Half Razor. As you are seeing the pole pieces are yielding better results. This IMHO makes a ton of sense. I would have started with the pole pieces as that is where the most improvement is!

See ( and I think you mentioned this yourself) the pole pieces shouldnt vibrate!!! The half razor just stops the vibrations from getting reflected by the mdf, but doesnt stop the pole pieces themselves. Being able to damp the pole pieces initially is a great thing as you are finding out.

Anyhow I think it is best to do it all though if I had to pick, I would pick the pole pieces.

Stopping those magnets from vibrating is a dramatic improvement.
