Every responsible test I have seen of amps, preamps, speaker cables, and interconnects has shown very slight, if any, differences among them. Speakers are another matter. Even the best high-end speakers have frequency response, phase response, and many other differences that are clearly audible. My thought for a shoot out is to simply describe the strengths and weaknesses of each speaker in an attempt to give folks some clues about which speaker they might prefer.
