Probably great, do it. I have 3.6R in a smallish room that measures 11.5 x 20 with the ceiling also only 8 feet high and they sound fantastic. Be sure to place them both with EXACTLY the same distances to rear and side walls with the same toe-in. Take your time to get the position right with the best bass response. It's best to have the center of the bass panels on some weird fracture of the length and width of the room, like 1/3, 3/5, 5/8 or 7/16 to avoid standing waves.Because the distance to the side walls will be quite short you'll get better soundstage (up to a holistic one depending on the quality of your equipment) with the tweeters on the inside. When I tried my Maggies with their tweeters on the outside I got some sort of Bose sound, a kind of stereo in the whole room but never "real" stereo.
If you like to listen REAL loud you can't get enough watts. I use a pair of EAR 549 with 200 healthy tube watts per channel and I already blew a couple of fuses along with a ribbon. But when this happend I was listening to Jeff Back live " A Touch Of Blues" and I could feel my breastbone vibrating with the guitar! Those babies really rock.
Hurray! Today my Mye stands finally arrived after a long journey of 11 weeks. They are a worth while the investment IMO.
Good luck with your Maggies!
Cheers, Jörg.
