Don't mean to make the project seem any more problematic than it may be already (or seem any pickier than I must sound as it is), but if you leave the Maggies in the room when you play the Ascents that could be an issue and the same in reverse, depending on where in the room you locate the unused speakers. You may wind up with unwanted suckout/diffraction artifacts, given the unused speakers' design, size, and shape, and the possible modulation of the Maggie drivers by the Ascents' output (with the same problem with at least the Ascent's woofers when you play the Maggies).So what you hear during the shootout might not be what you'd hear in your normal listening situation, something you might want to keep in mind as you do your comparative listening.
