The stock inductors have steel cores and are much smaller than the air-core Alpha-Core units. The capacitors may not fit in the same space, either.
The socks are stapled to the bottoms of the panels. It is easy, but tedious, to remove all the staples. The socks then slide up to give access to the internal crossover cavities.
You can put the new crossovers in boxes and attach them to wires that you push through the sock fabric. This will keep the damage to the fabric to a minimum. Pull the socks back down and staple them to the panel bottoms. A power staple machine will be a great help.
