Thanks a lot Ian. I'll bring all new XO-components to my tech friend who has the same stock 3.6 Maggies I own. He thinks they are "good enough to evaluate hi-end components" that he regularly repairs and/or modifies.

He had a set of Carvers before which he loved but they had crappy bass. His Carvers also had a long ribbon tweeter and looked like Apogees to me when I first saw them.

After all I read in this forum about upgrading XO's of Maggies and their potential I think if he hears the difference he will want to keep the mods. First I have to convince him to pull his socks off and give it a try ...
