New MMG's - Drive with low watt tube?

I'm auditioning a pair of MMG's and currently driving them with an Audiosource AMP3.

I have about 40 hours on them so far. My listening room is about 12' x 12' and I currently sit about 6' from each MMG. I have them positioned about 31 inches from the back wall, in front of two windows, (which are completely covered helping with diffusion). They are about 5.5' apart and about 30" from the side walls. They are toed in to face the listening chair.

My listening levels rarely go above 80db. I'll probably be augmenting the low end with a sub and implementing a cross over (not sure how yet) to direct the lower stuff away form the MMG's to the sub.

I'm thinking of getting an Onix SP3. It's only 35 watts/channel but I'm hoping with all the above considered, I don't need the huge power/current requirements of many owners. Any thoughts?
