The older Bryston 4B-ST was reported as bright on the high-end but that problem was resolved with the newer SST. I run a 4B-ST for the bass on my bi-amp MGIIIa setup but I have never heard the it full range so I really can't comment on the brightness issue. It does a great job on the those Maggie woofers.

I may be an egoist but at least I don't talk about other people.
