Hi Klaus,

The Quad Germany 57QA differs significantly from the original. They have their own production of bass and treble panels that are equal to the old panels in most dimensions, but they use a different stator material (circuit board instead of PVC). There are some other differences as well. More importantly, they sound different. Better? Not to my ears, but certainly a nice speaker to listen to. It sounds a bit more modern perhaps.

Quad Germany does not renovate old panels, they only have their production of new panels and if you insist, they may sell you an old original (but still good) panel too.
