The boxes on this were made in a sort of oriental style, out of Makore (the wood the speakers are made from) as well as Oak and Poplar. The tops are Poplar which is "bug streaked". (when they get a boring beetle in them it leaves long blackish purple flames thru the wood)The XO boxes are my only chance to be creative, (as everything else has to be built to "specs") so it's likely every pair I make will be different in future which I like because it personalizes that pair as well.
