Yes, but don't forget I found (as have many others) that adding it sounds terrible.I also eventually wound up with a different final XO design than my original was. I did just open my boxes up and redo them a few months ago to bring them "up to date" and I found not only was some of that sand still in there and clinging to the caps and the wires, (and you CAN'T get it out) but apparently due to the inevitable vibration it was wearing away at the parts and solder joints. The scratching was plainly visible, and in one spot it had worn down some of the teflon coating from the wire.
I noted when I first got it how incredibly sharp and abrasive the particles are. They ruin everything they touch. Just some on our kitchen counter when wiped off with a wet rag left permanenet deep scratches. Forget key scratching, you want to wreck someones car, a handful of this would do it.
So that's one thing I'll reveal, there's no sand in my boxes, and there never will be. :^ )
