I have heard various Audionote speakers in near wall and corner setups and they sounded pretty good. They are actually designed for those locations.I have also heard, twice at CES, Gradient Revolutions, set up in small rooms, that sounded terrific. They too are designed to be used near a back wall. They also have the open, airy sound that I associate with large panel speakers. They also happen to be compact and very nice looking.
