Thanks Al, Very helpful (as usual) + detail

Thanks Al,
I'll be using the unbalanced input, so I should be OK. My Pre is a new Audible Illusions Modulus IIIA (somewhat improved over just a couple of years ago). The Innersound I'm buying is a Mark II, so I assume the resistor will be OK. The P.O. claims that the amp has very few hours on it, was used to drive some Innersound planars.

I'm actually using the Innersound only to drive the bass panels on my Maggie 1.6's. I've been actively bi-amping for the past year, using tube amps on both bass and treble. For now, I'll keep my tube amp on the treble. Thanks to your strong advocacy, the Gilmore is on my short list of future amps for that position. I'm also interested in auditioning the Moscode 401HR, reputed to be a lively partner to the Maggies.

Once again, thanks for your help and advice!

Frank
