1176 input/output transformer help

I'm trying o wrap my little brain around wiring up the LL1540 as an input xformer alternative on my Rev A.

I've read about flipping in around and wiring it differently to get a 2:1 step down, but I want to understand and do it right.

Kevin, if you could provide some newb guidance that would be MUCH appreciated.

Also, for the OUTPUT transformer I thought I could use the LL5402 but apparently that was only suitable for the class AB push-pull design of the rev F.

As someone put it:
"from rev A to rev E the output amp is operating in class A....Tx is gapped due to the current in primary winding and it has a tertiary winding for negative feedback. Such design kinda narrows the choice to EA5002, the cinemag one or your own rolled up Tx."

Is there a Lundahl output option that could work in a class A circuit like the 1176 output?

I'm sure I'm not the first to ask about these things, but I did a forum search here and there wasn't much info.

A quick little DIY guide on how to wire in LUNDAHL transformers would be awesome for builders like me wanting to try something new.

Thanks kevin!
-Don
