Hi folks,
I have a 6B4G amp based on an ST70 transformer set. It's evolving into an Amity style circuit. Thinking hard about 1635 vs. 1660 - either would be driven PP by (1)7044 or (2)12B4.
Do the electrostatic shields on the 1660s make much difference (balance-wise) for PP:PP connection? Actually, I'm leaning towards the 1635... I think I have the low rp to drive it.
I've read most of the threads where K talks about how the 1635 needs a low rp driver tube to deliver the goods....
It helps the the 1635 would be a much easier fit the chassis....
Any comments welcome. Thanks!
Cheers,
Chris L.
