The phono preamp in the picture is an updated (latest) Rev 5 main board preamp. It has the new MOSFET input transistors and the supporting source CCS and minus supply (choke and rectifier/filter board).
Soon there will be a Rev 6 main board version posted on the website. The Rev 6 board has the new parts discussed above incorporated, plus two other sonically significant changes. The first is a shunt regulator (similar topology to that in the shunt regulator kit) for each channel and the other is AC filaments, with a wiring shield arrangement that results in no AC filament hum. The price change will be minimal.
Lest you ask, there is no straightforward way, given the space in the enclosure, to fit two shunt regulators to older K&K Audio phono preamps. I wish this weren't true, but...
