Thank you Kevin, for explaining this to me the way I can understand it given my limited experience on this things.

I will use the Cascode CCS kit I bought from you first to see exactly how much current the circuit I am building requires and then I can just add 20mA to that (SR draw) to get as close estimate as possible to the correct total draw then calculate the heat sinking required.

BTW, I am using the Compact Cascode CCS, that was also bought from you, in my preamp and it gives a very noticeable improvement in the performance of my JEL Full Function preamp. The kit was easy to build(from your instructions) and it's size is a breeze to incorporate inside my preamp chassis.
