Usage of the 5AR4 in the ST-70 rebuild kit

Hi Kevin -

Can you describe the usage of the rectifier tube in the ST-70 rebuild? Given the lower quality of currently available 5AR4's versus the quality of the legendary Mullard's, and the original design stressing the rectifier to it's limits, I would like to know a little more about its role in the rebuild circuit.
