To my ears the difference would be easily heard. The LL1591 is a very good transformer, considerably better than the lower cost offerings from other manufacturers, but the LL1544A with its cobalt amorphous strip core imparts a level of transparency that is significantly beyond that possible with the mu-metal core transformers. However, either way you get the benefits of the amplifier topology described on the webpage.
