My impression:
Utterly truthful and transparent sonic window. No noise at all, even with ear to 95dB sensitive speakers - that is uncanny and never before realized in my complex system. I just finished spinning Wes Montgomery's "Full House Recorded Live at Tsubo in Berkeley, CA" which is a phenomenal recording technically (Orrin Keepnews) and IMO, Wes' finest playing on record. The subtleties of his style from percussive plucks to his warm bodied tone are all there. The upright bass accompaniment is sublime in its realism though your linestage. I really don't need more time to know what a jewel you've built for me. Fits my system like a (non-OJ) glove.
FWIW, even at 1dB line stage gain I did resort to pulling a voltage gain tube from each of my Atma-Sphere monoblocks to get the line stage's attenuation range in sync with my preferred 60ish dB preferred listening volume. It's a commonly used tactic with Ralph's amps and now gives me fine volume control from about 8-12 clicks through my aforementioned listening volume sweet spot. So I'm optimally utilizing the linestage at my low-ish volumes. I couldn't have pulled it off without your low gain design.
In an industry with far too much hype and far too little substance, your line stage shines brightly.
