Hi BNAL,

You will need something between the RAKK dac and the Foreplay.

The two RAKK dac output stages (passive and active) do several things:

- Provide current-to-voltage conversion
- Provide voltage gain appropriate to drive a preamp or amplifier
- Provide balanced-to-unbalanced conversion
- Accommodate the offset from ground from the RAKK dac

The Foreplay will provide the gain that you need but you will have to provide the other functions.
