I use my RAKK DACMkII + extreme active output stage with my Bolder Cable (digital only) modified Squeezebox 3 and it is a stunning combination IMO.

I don't know if your Squeezebox has been modified or not but in my experience the Squeezebox's performance was vastly improved after some mods were done, it surpassed all my expectations, the SB wasn't too bad before the mod but now it makes some truly AWESOME music with my RAKK DACMkII.

My advice would be try your RAKK DAC with the Squeezebox and if you feel it doesn't quite give you the performance you are after then get the SB modified, I still can't get over how enormous the improvement was when I hooked my modified SB to my RAKK DAC, the RAKK DACMkII is one of the very best digital components I've ever heard and it deserves a great transport to give you all it's got.

I can’t add anything to the transformers + or - as others have covered that question nicely.
