Hi Brad,

I am not sure what your question is... Are you asking if there could be an active output stage that doesn't have transformers? If so, the answer is yes, and there is such a thing for sale on the closeout page. It is item #6 on that page.

That Integrated Active Output has the same interface to the RAKK dac as the regular Active Output. You can add a volume control using external series resistors.
