Bas,
Even in euros oil is up. Peak oil arriveth. But be careful what you wish for, barring Middle East issues, even oil prices generally fall in recessions.
Oil has a historical 90% correlation to gold. Gold is also up in euros.
Myself, I bought an LL1673 choke yesterday from Kevin, before the price increase. It will probably be a better investment over the next ten years than my dollars in a money market fund, kind of like investing in fine art.
