The only significant impact is on primary inductance, which will be reduced significantly by the reduced number of primary turns you are operating with. Since the transformer was also designed with SE use in mind where the gap substantially reduces primary inductance, I suspect that you will still have perfectly good bass performance in spite of reducing inductance.

Had you asked me what transformer to use to achieve near 4K:8, I would have suggested the LL1663/PP. Yes, that's a 25% change in load, but 25% changes in load are barely audible compared to many other parameters. In audio, the world of the practical is typically so much easier to occupy long term than the world of the calculated!
