Of all of the Benz cartridges I have heard the Gliders are the most "lightweight" sounding. This may be some part of the sonic issue you are hearing. The other part is arriving at the correct loading for the cartridge you use. The standard 47K phono input load is just too high for most MC cartridges. A lower value cartridge load usually results in a fuller sound. Keep that in mind when you buy your next cartridge.
