It leaves DC balance at the mercy of tube matching where it always is unless you adjust the bias of each tube individually. I am of the opinion that real tube matching is a pretty desirable thing to have. Forced "matching" at one current level using a bias adjustment doesn't do anything other than make it appear that they are matched, when, in fact they are only drawing the same current at that operating point and still aren't really matched in the AC sense, where it really matters.
