thanks Kevin
does this mean I don't need the negative bias voltage at all? I can dump all that section from the PS (1), and at the same time I need to connect 2A/2B from the schematic to ground?
and the other modification is replacing the 10 ohm w/ (1) each CCS per tube, from cathode to ground, correct? For a bias of, say, 70 miliamps @ 50V over the CCS, it's going to dissipate in the neighborhood of 3.5W?
what about common bias for both tubes (one CCS instead of 10 ohm resistor per channel)? for the CCS, it's still running 70 miliamps, therefore dissipating 3.5W, same HS needed as in the case above, right? (I have a 'room available' issue, and could barely fit one more CCS, but not two)
I just want to make sure I get the route to follow correctly and in detail.
How would you describe the change in sound, if you got a chance to do some A(before)/B(after) comparison with a PP amp?
Thanks again.
Best regards,
Radu.
