It looks like you might be concerned about getting as much gain as possible from the circuit. If you were willing to give up some gain there are a couple of things you could do to raise the input impedance. First would be to use larger series resistors. Second would be to use a different transformer ratio. You could use 1:1 or 2:1 instead of 1:2.
