Anyone have any experience working with the LL1680/5ma in SET balanced line output applications? This model is supposedly a copy of the UTC LS-27 and uses paper insulation etc.. It would seem that this model is intended as a "vintage style" unit and perhaps provides some coloration, however the specs seem comparable (better?) than the other models produced by lundahl for the same purpose, without any real difference in price. I am curious how this model compares sonically to similar types LL1630/5ma, LL1660 and LL1689. I can't afford to purchase them all and do lisening test so I'd be very interested to hear anyone's opinion(s).
