Whether these two children will play together nicely depends largely on the circuit impedance driving the autoformer and the autoformer's impedance, compared to that of the LL1690. I routinely drive my amplifier, which has an LL1690 at the input as a phase splitter, with a TX-102 Mk I, and have heard no negative sonic effects on doing this. I use sources with impedances ranging from less than 100 ohms to 2000 ohms.
