Splitter after AVC?

Hi Kevin/others,

I have a pair of Slagle's AVC's (single ended) that I'd like to use in a preamp, but would prefer to drive balanced cables. Can you effectively use something like a LL1690 for phase splitting after an AVC or TVC or do their inductances wreak havoc on eachother?

My idea was to use a source selector > AVC > phase splitter > balanced tube CF stage (possibly ala aikido) to drive medium long cables to an amp with balanced inputs. The schematic works (in my head at least) if I use a balanced attenuator after the phase splitter, but I am wondering if it is possible to use the AVC's before.
