Some good ideas for kits but I like the idea of multiple options. That is multiple output and driver stages. I have used 6550's for years as triode coupled class A outputs and they sound good. My preference would be for a hard wired kit - but I do understand that will increase the workload for the suplier as there are always those who bite off more than they can chew.
