Hi, JohnHere is the schematics.
http://www.newmilford.com/akltam/sa8260/diff_schematic2.gif
It is based on the CD enhancer II.
You can even use 12AU7 or many other tubes. same idea. The 6dj8 have mu around 33. With a 7.2:1, you should get around 3-4 amp factor. Since the CS4397 has0.7 V output, I think you will get around 3V output. which will be like your CD output.
The key key key point about nearly all tube curcuit is the current operating point. For the cathode resistor of 150 Ohm, You expect each triode to have 6mA. I even use 120 ohm which will cause it to goto 8mA.
Another must have for me is the power supply. As you can see, I am using a 300VA isolation transformer as the transformer for this analog stage. This transformer has 2 x110v output. I use each coil for each channel. If I have time, I will build another one and go for total separate power transformer. Then there is a choke on each channel. There is also a separate filament transformer.
I get this from Ultranalog too. Itis the same idea, I just apply the idea and use different tubes and then adjust the cathode resistor and apply the right voltage.
Alan
