Re: proper loading of interstage transformers

You can certainly experiment with secondary loads to see what they do for you. I have occasionally used an RC network at the output of an IT to reduce the effects of an over 20KHz resonance peak on amplifier performance to good effect, but I typically don't define the load with a resistor, because it doesn't seem to make much, if any, difference the times I've tried it. I will say that if the load becomes too low in value, it seems to render the sound somewhat lifeless.
